New on Tap - Speakeasy Pale Ale

Hola amigos. A quick note to let all of our Brooklyn fans know of the great new beer we have on tap. From the West Coast comes Speakeasy Untouchable Ale. We have already had much success with Speakeasy's Prohibition ale so it was an easy sell when our rep asked us to try it. Untouchable does justice to the American Pale Ale, enforcing a strict balance of arresting hop flavor and a smooth maltiness that's just undercover. One sip will be enough to know this is a special beer.

We look forward to seeing you at Press!

Week of 1/5/10

Hola and welcome to 2010! Here in Brooklyn we have welcomed the new year with two brand new beers on tap for your pleasure.

First and foremost is the brand new Crossroads IPA from Crossroads Brewery in upstate Athens, NY. We are the first in NYC to offer this beer as we are close friends with the brewer Kenny Landin. But, just because we are your friend does not guarantee we will place your beer on our taps, it must be good. And, this beer is awesome! It's brewed with a blend of 5 different barley's and has a warm orange hue and malty flavor which supports an aggressive blend of hops including Hallertau, Cascade and the new Summit Hop from Washington. Look for an assertive bitter body and complex aroma with notes of grapefruit and spice.

Our second new offering comes from local brewery Southampton Publick house out of, you guessed it, Southampton, NY. This Baltic-style porter is inspired by the strong, dark brews exported from Great Britain to Eastern Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. Rich and flavorful with upfront notes of chocolate, caramel and toffee, this beer is a great winter warmer. But, beware the 7.5% abv as it will creep up on you.
