The week of June 26th 2010

Hey now! Greetings from a beautiful Summer day filled with beer and World Cup Soccer. As I write this the US team is about to start the match against Ghana. A great time to cozy up to our bar and enjoy a pint of Greenport Harbor Ale, our latest and greatest. Let's root for a US victory. Another notable beer to enter the rotation is our neighbors out East, Southampton Publick House, and their summer offering Kells Pilsner. It's a light refreshing beer that complements the heat of the day! Anyways, here is our current list:

ON DRAFT

NEW! Southampton Keller Pils (Long Island, NY): A special Pilsner that is brewed with a single hop variety, the Hallertauer Tradition hop. rather than a blend, in order to showcase the special aromatic and flavor qualities of that particular hop. This is one refreshing beer from our neighbors out East! 5% abv
NEW! Greenport Harbor Harbor Ale (long Island, NY): Support Local! A balanced English style ale with a rich golden hue. Slightly fruity hop character, this ale features a blend of Fuggle and Tettnang hops 5.3% abv
Ommegang Witte (Cooperstown, NY): Via upstate NY comes this traditional Belgian-style wheat ale that features notes of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and smooth, this is a great summer beer full of refreshing flavor. And, the brewery makes a great summer road trip! 5.1% abv
Blue Point Summer Ale (Long Island, NY): A summer tradition at Press195! Various malts combine to produce a delicious golden taste that is light and thirst quenching with a hint of citrus. 6% abv
Keegan’s Mother’s Milk (Kingston, NY): A local Catskills favorite! From our good friend Tom Keegan comes this fantastic beer. As the name implies, this is a dark and creamy milk stout. Hints of oatmeal, chocolate and of course milk, give this stout a remarkably smooth finish. If you find yourself on the NY state thruway, jump off exit 19 and visit Keegan’s! 5.5% abv
Lagunitas IPA (California): Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on. 6.2% abv

Weihenstephan Hefe-Weiss (Germany): From THE oldest commercial brewery, this is a wonderful example of what unfiltered wheat beer should be. Smooth and easy to drink. 16.9oz 5.4% abv
Local 1 (Brooklyn): STRONG ALE! Belgian-inspired strong golden pale ale. The rare old technique of bottle re-fermentation gives this beer complex flavors of honey and pears. Try with spicy foods. 22oz 9% abv
Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel (Belgium): STRONG ALE! First brewed in 2006, this is a rare, special beer with a harmonious balance between a marked bitterness (three types of hops are used) and a pleasant fruitiness. The HOUBLON CHOUFFE is unfiltered, and re-fermented in the bottle. Our favorite Belgian!!! 25.4oz 9% abv
