Nov 2009

Hola Amigos! Hard to believe it's November already but the whipping winds and cold rain tonight are sure to make you remember. Some great beers coming this way as winter time always provides some great Winter ales. We currently have one of the last kegs of Blue Point Octoberfest but are soon to be placing their excellent Winter offering on. Also new to the taps is Coney Island Lager, an easy drinker that is mellow, a tad sweet and low on carbonation. We already have been receiving good feedback from it. Here is the current list:

Keegan’s Mother’s Milk (Kingston, NY): From our good friend Tom Keegan comes this fantastic beer. As the name implies, this is a dark and creamy milk stout. Hints of oatmeal, chocolate and of course milk, give this stout a remarkably smooth finish. 5.5% abv
Blue Point Oktoberfest (Patchogue, NY): Oktoberfest was originally brewed in 1810 to celebrate the betrothal of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, Blue Point continues the celebration by traditionally brewing this special malty amber lager every October. FALL 2009 BEER MENU

HEY NOW! Greetings from a beautiful fall afternoon here in Park Slope, Brooklyn USA!! Been a while since I rapped at ya but summer has kept us all quite busy. With fall here the beer taps have changed up a bit. The biggest newcomer to hit our taps in a long time hails from San Francisco. Speakeasy Prohibition Ale simply rocks! This is the single biggest seller we have had in years. The initial sip is sweet with caramel hints and the finish leaves a gentle bitter hop flavor on your tongue. It's hard to have just one! Also new to the taps, Two Brothers Dupont Dupage, hails from Chicago and is a great refreshing farm house ale, an easy drinker that is full bodied but not too light. It is no wonder this beer received the Bronze at the 2007 Great American Beer Fest. Here is our complete current bottle and tap lineup:

January 20, 2009

January 17th, 2009.

At the Bayside store, things are moving ahead well. We are slowly introducing new menu items that will soon appear as a permanent fixture on a new menu that will be unveiled with the grand re-opening of our original location in Park Slope. The newest sandwich to hit the specials age is the ultimate Buffalo sandwich, the killer Chicken Finger Sub. But, we kick it Press 195 style and serve homemade spicy fingers (never frozen unlike our competition) with real crumbled blue cheese and julienned carrots and celery for an extra cruch. Guaranteed hall of fame sandwich!

At our Brooklyn store, renovation has taken a contractors week hitch, as the store is fully gutted but awaiting a garbage waste dump to clear the rubble. However, plumbing and electrical is complete in the basement so we are anticipating work to begin again tomorrow 1/19.

Thanks!
Brian
