New beer menu 8/28/2010

Greetings from an absolutely beautiful day here in Park Slope, Brooklyn! A perfect day to enjoy a beer in the garden. This week we have a few new killer brew's for you to enjoy. One of the newer breweries to come to the east coast, Founder's of Michigan, has released a phenomenal Porter that has all the website's buzzing. Ratebeer.com gives it a 100 score as BeerAdvocate.comVictory PrimaPils from nearby Pennsylvania. This is no ordinary pilsner, this brew is well balanced with crispy hops and German malts. NEW! Victory Prima Pils (PA): Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher. 5.3% abv
NEW! Founders Porter (MI): BeerAdvocate scores this beer an A- while Ratebeer.com gives it a 100, not shabby! Take a sip and decide, we believe this is one of the best porters ever! Dark, rich, and sexy with chocolate malts and four varieties of hops make this a very full flavored ale. 6.5% abv
Greenport Harbor Harbor Ale (long Island, NY): Support Local! A balanced English style ale with a rich golden hue. Slightly fruity hop character, this ale features a blend of Fuggle and Tettnang hops 5.3% abv
Ommegang Witte (Cooperstown, NY): Via upstate NY comes this traditional Belgian-style wheat ale that features notes of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and smooth, this is a great summer beer full of refreshing flavor. And, the brewery makes a great summer road trip! 5.1% abv
Blue Point Summer Ale (Long Island, NY): A summer tradition at Press195! Various malts combine to produce a delicious golden taste that is light and thirst quenching with a hint of citrus. 6% abv
Lagunitas IPA (California): Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you're on. 6.2% abv

NEW! Blue Point Rastafar Rye Ale (Patchogue): Amber in color and pours with a nice creamy head. Rye and citrus notes are evident within the bold flavor. Not particularly hoppy until the finish, which is mildly bitter. 22oz 7.25% abv
Delirium Tremens (Belgium): STRONG Belgian Ale! The particular character and the unique taste results from the use of three different yeasts. A gold medal during the "world beer championships" in Chicago confirmed it’s worldwide recognition. 12oz. 9% abv
Weihenstephan Hefe-Weiss (Germany): From THE oldest commercial brewery, this is a wonderful example of what unfiltered wheat beer should be. Smooth and easy to drink. 16.9oz 5.4% abv
Local 1 (Brooklyn): STRONG ALE! Belgian-inspired strong golden pale ale. The rare old technique of bottle re-fermentation gives this beer complex flavors of honey and pears. Try with spicy foods. 22oz 9% abv
Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel (Belgium): STRONG ALE! First brewed in 2006, this is a rare, special beer with a harmonious balance between a marked bitterness (three types of hops are used) and a pleasant fruitiness. The HOUBLON CHOUFFE is unfiltered, and re-fermented in the bottle. Our favorite Belgian!!! 25.4oz 9% abv
Stone IPA (CA): “Dry hopped” for an extra 2 weeks, this unique process produces an IPA with a great hop aroma and flavor. 22oz 6.9% abv
Triple Karmeliet (Belgium): Blond, robust, smooth, and fruity three grain top fermented beer that is re-fermented in the bottle. Brewed with wheat, oat and barley. A 100% natural beer that is sure to please. 11.2 oz 8% abv
Arrogant bastard Ale (CA): This is an aggressive beer. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. 22 oz 7.2% abv
Doc’s hard apple cider (Warwick, NY): This cider is semi-dry and wonderfully effervescent with a remarkably fresh apple nose. Its crisp, fruit forward taste and a clean, refreshing finish, have won this vineyard countless awards and praise. 12 oz 5% abv
